I have recently been having a lot of trouble with Photoshop. After I updated to the recent version it began running really slow and would struggle with simple tasks like zooming in and out. I reinstalled an older version and it was working fine for awhile until the soft brush seemed to break. It no longer has a clean transition from opaque to transparent and instead appears similar to a grainy texture. As a result, I wasn't able to do many of the ideas I wanted to explore today but I hope to resolve the issue soon and continue working on this project.
After exploring further with my initial work from last week, I decided to go in a different direction. I decided to explore memory more broadly and less with a tie to a childhood. I also wanted to explore the human figure more and chose a photo of myself to try using. I also decided to explore more color. I have been using a lot of warm tones in my more recent work and while it seems to be the obvious choice for a more nostalgic concept, I want to explore bright and interesting colors within the piece.
