Image of Icon Update

After watching more of the lectures and spending more time considering this project, I have decided to change my initial image to a photograph that I think will work even better for this project. I have chosen the iconic photograph of the first flight of the Wright Brothers's first successful airplane.

The photograph was taken on December 17, 1903 by John T. Daniels just seconds into the brothers' first test flight in which Orville Wright is seen on the aircraft and Wilbur Wright is running alongside it. The photograph is an iconic image of one of the first flights of an airplane, which is arguably one of the most influential inventions of the 20th century. The brief flight laid the foundation for much of our modern air travel and even space travel.

I was able to find a version of this photograph that is 5600x4318 pixels which should provide the perfect resolution for a 11x17 canvas at 300 dpi. I also think this image will provide some interesting opportunities for exploration in Photoshop for this particular project.
